jadusable.wmv is the fourth video of The Haunted Cartridge and the sixth video in Ben Drowned. It is preceded by DROWNED.wmv and followed by free.wmv.
Unlike the rest of the videos, this is the second half of Matt.wmv, as mentioned by Jadusable in TheTruth.rtf.
Synopsis
On September 12, 2010, two days after Jadusable's last post, his roommate posts an explanation to /x/ regarding Jadusable's absence, and describes their last interaction, in which he entrusted the roommate with a flash drive containing specific instructions for uploading a document and this video. The video shows Jadusable's final attempts at solving the mystery of why BEN is antagonizing him, and ultimately ends with his disappearance.
Summary
Three versions of this chapter exist. The first, containing the full original /x/ post, was published on September 12, 2010. The second, posted on youshouldnthavedonethat.net, was published on September 20, 2010. The third and most recent, posted on Within Hubris, was published on February 17, 2011; this is considered to be the optimal version for first-time readers. All three versions are present below.
Let me just clear things up - I know you guys are worried but "Jadusable" is okay. he finished moving out today and he said he's going back home, he's just taking this semester off. I'm not really sure what's happened; I have a vague idea but you guys probably know more than I do. I'm "Jadusable's" roommate and obviously I knew something was wrong with him for a few days now. He stayed in his room all the time, fell out of contact with literally all of his friends, and I'm pretty sure he hadn't been eating hardly anything, after the second day I couldn't stay in there anymore, so I've been crashing at a buddy's place, only coming in to my room to get stuff that I need. I tried talking to him several times but he would cut me off or keep the conversation brief when I asked him about his strange behavior, it like he was convinced something was hunting him. yesterday I came to grab my philosophy book and he approached me, looking awful, like horrible bags under his eyes. he handed me a flash drive and gave me specific instructions. he told me that he needs me to do one last favor for him - he finally explained to me what has been going on, gave me the account info to his Youtube account, and he gave me instructions on how to post with his Name code on specifically this board, apparently he said you guys had been helping him along the way and you deserved to see the end of it.
He told me that he's getting away from here, that it lured him to play it again instead of trying to change things and that he shouldn't of done that, and to upload the footage and inform people what happened. I told him that he could do it himself and he got this wild look in his eye and told me that he is never looking at that game again, and that's the last thing he said to me, he never even said bye when his parents came to pick him up. I was hoping I'd at least get a chance to meet his parents when they picked him up, but they were in and out so quick I never saw them.
I honestly cant tell you what happened, when he spoke it was kind of hard to understand him and his fucked up appearance really distracted me. On the flash drive there was the footage of the game last night, a text document with his name and password for Youtube, and a third document called TheTruth.txt containing what he told me were "his notes" that he'd taken about this. He told me that this meant everything to him that I follow his instructions exactly, normally I wouldn't be so 'to-the-letter' for request over a fucking video game, but the way he spoke and the way he looked made me know this was really serious.
I've had this video since yesterday, but had to have someone help me use pinnacle, that's not really my forte. That after watching it I had to go back through and look at his other videos on his Youtube account to realize what was going on and even then I'm really really confused. The video I'm releasing tonight, TheTruth.txt will be released on September 15th just like he requested; I don't know why he wants to wait for his notes to be published but after what that he's been through, I'll honor that request. I haven't dared peek at it yet, so the first time I see it will be the first time you see it out of respect to my friend. To answer your questions, no, I haven't tried calling him yet, I think I'll give him a call tomorrow to see if he's okay or not. He should have gotten back home by now.
About the video: In this video I cut straight to when he loaded the "BEN" file in the game. Looking back, I realized that Jadusable left the save select screen in because it said different names sometimes, so my bad for that, but all it said this time was the same at the end of his last video (Link and BEN), nothing different. I wasn't there when he played it, but it looks to me like in the beginning when he first spawns he's testing out his equipment or seeing what items he has or something, because apparently they've changed randomly before. He really wanted you guys to see this, and the video starts then, after that I just think the game got too personal for him.

The description of jadusable.wmv was originally the entirety of Jadusable's fourth /x/ post. It has since been changed to a link to the complete Haunted Cartridge story.
Transcript
Like day four.wmv, the video begins partway through the full sequence of events. Link is in Ikana Canyon. He applies several items, including the Mask of Truth, and notes in the Quest Status menu that he is missing the Elegy of Emptiness. He enters the Ancient Castle, dispatches several ReDeads, and clears his path toward Igos du Ikana's chamber. Before he enters, he equips the Pictograph Box and views the picture inside, which shows the Happy Mask Salesman and the Elegy statue, before discarding it. He then equips the Hookshot and enters.
Ikana's text is scrambled, but he teaches Link the Elegy of Emptiness. The cutscene plays as normal, and afterward, Gomess appears. Unable to move, and with the camera tinted purple and obscured, Link awaits Gomess' approach. It's one strike eliminates over six hearts. As Link dies, the tint changes to a crimson shade before fading to black. Text appears over the sound of Link shivering, which reads, "Why is he smiling? The father?"
Link wakes up in Ikana Graveyard with no HUD and observes several headstones. As he does so, the cry of Bongo Bongo can be heard twice. When Link observes the third headstone, the camera shifts to reveal an Elegy statue behind it just before Link falls into an invisible hole. After the screen fades, the text, "It'll be our little secret, okay?" appears, before the Happy Mask Salesman laugh plays.
Link spawns in the twisted hallway leading to the Clock Tower. As he enters, he immediately runs into an Elegy statue and the game freezes, before cutting to black. Text appears, which reads, "You can't run." Link then spawns, totally still, beside the Happy Mask Salesman and the Elegy statue, the angle unchanging for several seconds. The camera then swings behind Link as the Elegy statue's summon animation plays, but the screen cuts to black just before it can appear. One more line of text appears: "Please... help me..."
The game resets. The file screen audio is now slowed down and slightly lower-pitched. It now shows two files: "Link" and "MATT."
Matt.wmv

TheTruth.rtf reveals that Jadusable's "roommate" cut down more of the video than he claimed. According to the roommate, only the title screen was cut, but Jadusable describes much more of the video that was never shown. In addition, the original title was Matt.wmv, alluding to the final seconds of the video. Jadusable's description of the missing section:
- "The last video entry I made, Matt.wmv, began as normal. I was spawned in Clock Town as usual and nothing seemed to be out of place, determined to set things right and play the Oath to Order ontop of the Clock Tower on the 4th day, I prepared myself. I sped up time and got to the final day, making my way to the observatory. As I got up to the telescope room and approached the astromer, he would not let me look into his telescope. He told me that it would be cheating and that I should follow the rules. Despite my repeated efforts, the game would not let me do the 4th day glitch, no matter how hard or what I tried, I tried working around the game and doing the glitch, but it was adament this time. Regardless of if I simply had the illusion of free will in prior games, this time the game became more aggressive than anything I've ever seen. It eventually told me to go to Ikana Canyon, where the game would end and it would stop haunting me, anxious and desperate to end this nightmare I played the song of soaring and ended up there. I was told to check my inventory, that I would find the answers there to end the game. I arrived at Ikana Canyon and saved my progress at the owl statue."

Notes
- This video is the first mention of Matt.
- The post made by the "roommate" is full of spelling and grammatical errors. It is revealed in TheTruth.rtf, however, that Jadusable lived in a single dorm, and that BEN had written the post.
- The roommate claims to have only cut out the title screen, and apologizes for doing so. However, Jadusable claims in TheTruth.rtf that the video, originally called Matt.wmv, was cut in half and renamed. The first half of the video has yet to be seen.
- The document, referred to by both the roommate and Jadusable as TheTruth.txt, is instead uploaded as TheTruth.rtf.
- Similar to free.wmv, a dim view of Link's bedroom from Ocarina of Time can be seen for about 2 frames at 7:12, after the text box "Please... help me..."
