"Something happened last night that I can't remember. I'm posting the fourth summary to the forums now. Shadow of my chair moved."
CHILDREN.wmv is the tenth video of the Hubris Arc and the thirty-fifth canon video in the ARG. It is preceded by king.txt and followed by 2018.txt.
According to Jadusable, this video was meant to be uploaded during Haunted Cartridge Arc. If it existed and were uploaded, it would have been the fourth video, preceded by DROWNED.wmv and followed by jadusable.wmv.
Synopsis
Prior to its upload, nothing was known about this video except what Jadusable wrote in TheTruth.rtf. The following entries allude to it:
- September 9, 9:09pm - (Summary of CHILDREN.wmv playthrough)
- September 10, 11:55am - There's an entire video summary of a video that I don't remember doing. Reading through the summary, this sounds morbid - resembling my dream from two nights ago except on a far more sadistic scale - these Moon Children, there's something more to them, almost as if they're another entity from Ben. Something happened last night that I can't remember. I'm posting the fourth summary to the forums now. Shadow of my chair moved.
The summary mentioned by Jadusable in TheTruth.rtf was never posted. However, shortly after the video's upload, a new document was found, titled "TheRealTruth.rtf." It includes all of Jadusable's video summaries, as well as the following in place of the summary for CHILDREN.wmv:
- "9:09pm - After crying and whining for some time now he finally came to our senses.
He was being pathetic and greedy.
Weak and embarassing.
Vulnerable and alone.
No more.
He thinks it's in the afternoon now, but his brain can't tell anymore.
It is irrelevant.
We are one with a singular purpose, and we will finish it.
These messages are not meant for them to read right now.
None of it will make sense to either this desparate puppet or his "audience" at present.
Conclusion: it is a wasted effort.
Regrettably, in order to achieve fulfillment and ascend higher we will need to wait for some time.
We will continue to form our own consensus.
But there's been too much of a commotion here, that blithering idiot could set us back if we are discovered.
Then patience is the answer, time is inconsequential here.
He attempting to interface with our world again.
Moon and the sun.
Show ourselves to him. Show that we are many, and we are watching.
Is it time? That has a high probability of completely fracturing his already weakened mind.
Yes.
Yes, this one will die soon.
Yes, this world is beginning to fall apart as well.
Yes, but on that matter it is a debate - our ability to interact with their plane is limited to only a few Methods.
Yes, but it will not be that way forever.
Yes, but the probability that we become incompatible is too great if we wait too long.
Yes, we have a proposal to change that. it will take years but that is acceptable.
Yes, that is fine.
<deleted>
Yes, but they should know the truth at some point.
Yes, but only when it is too late."

The first few seconds are the same as in sonata.wmv, in which images related to Methods of Revolution flash and Rosa is heard. Link is shown standing in front of the Happy Mask Salesman, Skull Kid, and Elegy statue. He plays the Sun's Song. The text box contained only the notes, no text, and it flashed red for a moment before time shifted as a result of the song. The game cuts to Dawn of a New Day as it was shown in day four.wmv, then cuts to the intended screen.
Link is now standing where he was before in Termina Field. The rest of the models are gone. He looks up at Clock Town and sees two of the four Giants standing inside the walls before they move out of view. Link looks around and heads back to the town's entrance, then looks back where he was standing before. Epona and the Skull Kid are now where they were before, and Link heads in their direction. The Happy Mask Salesman comes into view shortly afterward. Link stops just short of them and looks back at Clock Town. The Giants begin singing and Link runs back toward the entrance and goes inside.
Link enters through the northern part of West Clock Town, the textures broken just as they were in hubris.wmv. It is now the final hours of the Final Day. The title screen appears, and the game fades. Link appears in a white void in front of a giant Deku Scrub. He slowly walks toward it and stops to look behind him. The Moon can be heard approaching. Link looks back at the Deku Scrub, then back behind him again and sees the Elegy statue as the reversed Elegy of Emptiness begins playing. In first person, Link looks back at the Deku Scrub and back again. The statue is closer. He looks back toward the Deku Scrub and the statue is now there as well. The bell sounds and the camera zooms on its face. The second bell sounds and the camera zooms again. Link tries to look away, but the camera fixes on the statue's face at the third bell. The screen goes black at the fourth bell.
After several seconds, Kamaro's Mask appears on-screen, spinning in place, before fading out. Link is now standing in the black void. As he walks and swings his sword, his actions carry a heavy echo. After looking into the void, he chooses a direction and runs in it. He enters a new area, still a black void. Crying can be heard in the distance. Link sees a figure and runs in its direction, but the crying is still coming from the left. He looks forward and sees that he's approaching the Goron Elder. To the left, he sees that the Elder's son is the source of the crying. Bongo Bongo's cry is heard as he continues to look between the two Gorons. Link finally runs in the direction of the child, but as he reaches it, the game freezes and the invalid item sound plays. The silence lasts for several seconds before Navi says, "Watch out!" The game resets.
At the title screen, the mask screeches as it reaches the camera. Start is pressed, but there is no file select. Link immediately enters South Clock Town, where most textures are missing. The Final Hours music is playing, though it's early on the Final Day, and there is only one NPC in the area, a character who is not normally able to be encountered in-game. Tatl locks onto him and the Happy Mask Salesman's laugh plays. Link looks at him and then runs toward him, but is stopped. The camera cuts to black. A disfigured face appears alongside the text, "You shouldn't have done that..."
Notes
- CHILDREN.wmv is mentioned again in h b i s r ea l, though it's from the same section of TheTruth.rtf. The video also shows an entry not found in TheTruth.rtf, taking place just before CHILDREN.wmv's upload, which reads, "Somethings appeared, but its not like the other... no." This may be part of the events Jadusable described not remembering, especially due to the presence of "another entity."
