The Jailer is a mysterious entity that prowls the Ethereal Hotel and terminates anyone who makes too much noise or attempts to escape.

History

Awakening Arc

The Jailer first appears in sonata.wmv, where the screen flickers with two images of it.

In Methods of Revolution (Day 1), the second player finds multiple notes that seem to refer to the Jailer in his room. The Jailer appears on screen later in the video when the second player peeks through the door’s keyhole and spots it in the hallway.

In Methods of Revolution (Day 3), the Jailer terminates a woman who is panicking and screaming for help in her room.

In Methods of Revolution (Day 6), the Jailer is lumbering far down the hallway after the second player steps out of the room on the second floor.

In Methods of Revolution (Day 11), the second player is terminated by the Jailer.
