Sarah is a captive of Abel, first encountered as the third player character during the events of Methods of Revolution [Day 11]. She was given the haunted cartridge by Abel during her time in the hotel.

History

Awakening Arc

In Methods of Revolution (Day 11) preceding the death of the Second Player, the text [Day 14] fades in and out on screen. Sarah awoke in the Etherial Hotel and is contacted by Abel who tells Sarah the same thing he told the previous player about trying to escape. He tells Sarah that he hopes the two can talk, but he doubts it, and then goes silent.

In Methods of Revolution (Day 21) Sarah wakes up out of bed and finds a Nintendo 64 in her room, she is contacted once again by Abel who prompts her to stay in her room and play the game cartridge, a grey cartridge labeled "MAJORA". She starts the game and names her file "SARAH".

Personality

Not much is known about Sarah's personality other then Abel's note that she is "a bit of a gamer." What parts of her personality that are shown while playing the haunted cartridge remain unknown as it's unclear what choices are her decisions and what is done under the duress of the Players choices. Her goal while playing the haunted cartridge was to save all the souls lost/digitized/ascended into the cartridge.

Notes

• Sarah shares her name with the mother of the Lawman family, mentioned in the Newspaper Letter. Whether they are the same person is currently unknown.
• Matt remarks in The Last Hero.wmv that those loyal to The Father (assumedly Abel and/or the Eternity Project) were probably working to digitize Sarah in order to stop her. However, several videos later in The Showdown.vmw, her death in-game at the hands of Jadusable apparently had real-world ramifications, and killed her outside the game — implying she had been digitized the entire time.
