The King Kong saga is a series of ambiguously-canon videos, most of which were released on April Fools Day. Rather than taking place within the main Ben Drowned story, they focus on the Goron of Legend, a resident of World Alpha.

King Kong

March 29, 2012

  • Two videos on Jadusable's YouTube channel were renamed:
    • free.wmv was renamed "you can hear me.wmv."
    • 2 was renamed "4ucme.wmv."
    • Several tags were changed.

April 1, 2012

Jadusable's new avatar
  • A new video was uploaded to Jadusable's YouTube channel, titled king kong.wmv. Appearing at first to be a version of day four.wmv with Goron Link, its true nature was revealed when King Kong by Jibbs feat. Chamillionaire began playing playing. The video features Goron Link bringing the gift of music to the denizens of Termina.
    • Around the same time the video was uploaded, Jadusable's YouTube avatar changed.
    • This video and the renaming of others were part of an April Fool's Day joke conducted by Alex Hall. Everything reverted to normal soon afterward, except for a few tags. The new avatar would remain for roughly two weeks before returning to Jadusable's original pre-BEN avatar.

April 23, 2020

  • The thumbnail for king kong.wmv changed to a new image of Link wearing the Postman's Hat.

July 20, 2020

  • The thumbnail for king kong.wmv was changed once again, to a form of the original thumbnail with "4.1.21" in the top left.
  • The description was changed to, "Something wicked this way comes...."

The Return of the King

November 3, 2020

  • The thumbnail for king kong.wmv was changed once again, this time to an entirely new image featuring Goron Link standing in South Clock Town. The "4.1.21" text was moved further into the corner, making it invisible without viewing the full image.
  • The description was changed once again, this time to, Something wicked this way is coming...
  • Around this time, new tags were added to the video: "king kong", "jibbs", "ben drowned", "king kong april fools", "parody", "legend of zelda", "zelda", "ben king kong" and "be ndrowned king kong".

  • At 4:00am, The Epilogue was set to premiere at 4:30pm. It featured no tags, and its thumbnail showed the northern section of Termina Field.
    • Thumbnail changes took place at 3:40pm, 3:42, 3:43, 3:45 (3), 3:57, 4:04, 4:06, 4:08, 4:10, 4:12, 4:15, 4:19, 4:23, 4:25, and 4:30, with the final change taking place after the video's premiere.
  • At 4:30pm, The Epilogue premiered. It features the Goron of Legend, who united the world in song eight years ago, searching for his lost swagger after embarrassing himself in front of the Indigo-Gos. He journeys throughout Termina to the Indigo-Gos' rendition of Linkin Park's "In the End", eventually finding himself in the company of other Gorons who encourage him to continue his journey. Realizing the meaning of this vision, he sets off once more to find the magic bean seller.
    • The ending teases the next video, set to premiere on April 1, 2021.
  • After the premiere, the avatar on Jadusable's channel changed to an image of the Goron of Legend.

April 1, 2021

  • You can hear him before you see him. He is coming.

Notes

  • This saga is a series of April Fools videos created by Alex Hall. They do not necessarily have any bearing on the main Ben Drowned story, but as of The Epilogue, they do appear to take place within the cartridge.
